Many of our employees are heavily involved in racing and autocrosses, as well as instructing at driver's schools and track days. Several of our employees including owners Chris Coulter and Matt Curry are also licensed instructors who volunteer their time with Friday At The Track (FATT), BMWCCA Club, Audi Club, Mercedes Club of Greater Washington, PCA and the local Corvette Club. Some of our employees have successfully won regional and national championships in autocross and road racing at SCCA, NASA, and Grand Am events. In addition we routinely prep championship winning cars for our customers in PCA, BMWCCA, SCCA and NASA. |
Andrew Gunn, our manager at Chantilly, has served as crew chief for one of the areas top SCCA race teams. During his tenure, his team has garnered several ITS and ITE titles as well as Spec Miata. Additionally, Andrew has been on two winning teams competing in the 12 Hours of Summit Point.
Jon Kofod, our former manager at our Dulles location, also has considerable race experience. Jon competed in junior karts as a kid and most recently raced in various levels of racing ranging from the Skip Barber Formula Dodge Series, SCCA Regional/National/Pro levels and NASA. Jon on the most improved racer with Skip Barber in 2001 and was the 2004 and 2005 NASA East Coast Honda Challenge Champion. In addition, Jon was a co-driver for the winning ITA team in the 2005 Kumbo tires SCCA 12 Hour Race. Jon was the 2006 MARRS ITA Championship Runner Up and the
2007 & 2008 MARRS ITS Champion. Cars Jon has raced include Formula Dodge, Formula Mazda, Ferrari Challenge, Spec Racer Ford, ITS and ITA production cars. For more information visit: http://www.flatoutracing.net
